The sacred books of the ancient Persians said : “If you want to be holy, ins­truct your chil­dren, because all the good deeds they do will be impu­ted to you.”1 They advi­sed mar­rying early, because the chil­dren would be like a bridge on Judgment Day, and those who had no chil­dren would not be able to cross over. These doc­tri­nes were false, but they were very use­ful.
